Terri Kay Roark, a 31-year-old woman from Texas, was found murdered on March 29, 1988, along the shoulder of Interstate 87 near the Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge (Twin Bridges) in Clifton Park, New York. Her body was discovered with a fatal skull fracture, and the case was quickly ruled a homicide. Investigators were initially puzzled by her presence in New York, as Roark had been last seen leaving a mental health facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, just days before her death.
