When officers arrived, they found Kameron suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On April 4, 2026, Memphis police located 18-year-old Tristan Smith in the 3000 block of Kirby Downs Cove and took him into custody without incident. Police said Smith was identified as the male seen wearing a black hoodie with the word “Saint” on it. He was charged with First-Degree Murder in the Perpetration of Aggravated Robbery, Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence, and Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Felony.
