In the quiet hours of Easter Sunday morning in Stillwater, Oklahoma, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that ended the life of 27-year-old Audrey Kaylyn Adams. On April 5, 2026, the young, white/caucasian mother was shot and killed in her home. The devastating event unfolded while her five-year-old son and several other people were present in the residence.
The stillness of the holiday morning was broken by a frantic 911 call from the mother of Adams' ex-boyfriend, Connor
Kinnaman. In the chilling call, she informed the dispatcher that her son had just shot his girlfriend. When Payne County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they found a chaotic and heartbreaking situation, with Adams pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was later confirmed to be from a gunshot wound.
Following the shooting, Kinnaman fled the scene in his black Buick, which prompted a multi-state alert. His attempt to escape was short-lived, as law enforcement apprehended him in Kansas, approximately 100 miles north of Stillwater, after a traffic stop. Kinnaman was identified as the sole suspect in the shooting and was subsequently arrested. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is awaiting further court proceedings.

After high school, she worked at TJ Maxx and as a DoorDash driver in Stillwater. She was described as someone who enjoyed spending time at the lake and with her family. She had a passion for watching makeup tutorials and caring for her cats, but her greatest joy was her son, Jax Ryker.
