In the quiet hours of an early spring evening in Buffalo, New York, the life of 21-year-old Jihad Gibbs was tragically cut short. On Monday, April 6, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to a call on the 200 block of Walden Avenue. There they found Gibbs with severe injuries. He was quickly transported to Erie County Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds. It was later determined that Gibbs had been fatally shot.
