In the cold of a Buffalo winter, Darryal Aughtry, a 30-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, February 8, 2019. The incident, which marked the city's second homicide of the year, took place on Wyoming Avenue. Emergency crews responded to a call just before 8 p.m. where they discovered Aughtry wounded from gunfire. He was quickly transported to Erie County Medical Center for treatment, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
