A young man's remains are found next to railroad tracks near the Hudson River
Gilberto Sarmiento, aged 29, was tragically found dead on January 13, 1999, near the Metro-North railroad tracks in Beacon, New York. His body was discovered a short distance from the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, and he had been shot to death. Sarmiento's vehicle, a 1986 Isuzu Trooper, was located in Newburgh on the day he went missing. His death has remained unsolved for many years, and the New York State Police continue to seek information related to his homicide.
