In the quiet community of Waterloo, South Carolina, the life of 27-year-old White male Kevin Ray Fortner was cut tragically short on the evening of Friday, April 10, 2026. Just before 9:00 PM, law enforcement responded to a call on Todd Quarter Road, where they discovered Fortner had been fatally shot. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene, and his death was quickly ruled a homicide. An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
