In the early hours of Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the life of 59-year-old Timothy P. Wallace was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting on Cleveland's east side. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight, when Cleveland police officers from the Fourth District responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of the 11700 block of Cromwell Avenue.
Upon their arrival, officers were engaged in speaking with several individuals in the area when they received a dispatch notification about
a male who had been shot inside a nearby vehicle. Responding to the area of Parkview Avenue, police discovered Timothy P. Wallace with a gunshot wound. Cleveland EMS promptly transported him to a local hospital, but sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation into the shooting led police to believe that the suspect may have barricaded themselves inside a residence on Cromwell Avenue. The Cleveland SWAT team was dispatched to the scene and subsequently cleared the home, however, the suspect was not located and remains at large. Authorities have not yet provided a description of the person they are seeking in connection with the homicide. The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case, and as of now, no arrests have been announced.
