A dispute over loud music on a Tuesday afternoon in Spring Hill, Florida, escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of 52-year-old Francis Biegaj. The incident, which occurred on April 7, 2026, has led to the arrest of his neighbor, 51-year-old Tony Deuser, who now faces a second-degree murder charge.
The events unfolded at approximately 4:30 p.m. when the Hernando County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a man bleeding from his arm on Gillian Circle. First responders arrived to find Biegaj with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his shoulder. Despite immediate life-saving efforts and being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators at the scene discovered shell casings in the driveway, indicating foul play was involved.
According to witness statements, several gunshots were heard, and a man, later identified as Deuser, was seen walking away from Biegaj's residence holding what looked like a pistol. Deputies proceeded to Deuser's home and, after he initially refused to come outside, the SWAT and Crisis Response Teams were called to the scene. Deuser eventually surrendered to the authorities.
During questioning, Deuser reportedly admitted to shooting Biegaj. He told investigators that he had become upset over the loud music coming from Biegaj's buggy. After Biegaj refused to lower the volume and asked him to leave his property, Deuser allegedly shot him twice before returning to his own home. He is currently being held at the Hernando County Detention Center without bond as the investigation continues.
