In a tragic turn of events on a Saturday morning, a domestic dispute in a quiet Silver Spring Township neighborhood ended in a murder-suicide. Authorities were called to a residence on Sorbie Lane at approximately 10:11 a.m. on March 21, 2026, following reports of a domestic incident involving gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the bodies of 63-year-old Robin Whitcomb and her 69-year-old husband, Scott Whitcomb, inside their home. The Cumberland County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Robin Whitcomb's death was a homicide, while Scott Whitcomb's death was ruled a suicide.
