In a quiet home on Merrill Road in Carson City, a story of quiet desperation unfolded, culminating in the discovery of two women on the evening of February 28, 2026. Responding to a welfare check after the residents had not been heard from for two weeks, deputies from the Carson City Sheriff's Office entered the residence to find a somber scene. Inside, they located the bodies of 60-year-old Andrea De Stories and her 99-year-old mother, Kitty Brown.
