In the early morning hours of January 6, 2026, the life of 21-year-old Josiah Miranda was tragically cut short in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Police responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 8:47 a.m. in the 3700 block of National Parks Highway. Upon arrival, they discovered Miranda suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical aid was rendered at the scene by the officers before Miranda was transported to Carlsbad Medical Center. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries ...
