On a cold December night in Buffalo, New York, the life of 29-year-old Tavonne Taylor, a Black male from West Seneca, was tragically cut short. In the late hours of Monday, December 2, 2013, gunshots echoed in the side yard of a residence on Niagara Street, near Hertel Avenue. When emergency responders arrived, they found Taylor, who had been shot, and pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity was confirmed by the Buffalo Police chief of detectives on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
