In the quiet community of Jonesboro, Louisiana, a welfare check on December 8, 2025, led to a grim discovery at a residence on Shows Lane in the Weston/Caney Lake area. Inside, authorities found the bodies of James Bradford, 62, and Gayla Smith, also 62. Both had sustained injuries that were consistent with gunshot wounds.
