On the afternoon of December 19, 2025, Desirae "Dezz" Martin, a 29-year-old female, was fatally shot inside a residence in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The incident occurred at a home located in the 1100 block of Berkshire Court where Martin was working as a caregiver for an elderly woman. Las Cruces Police Department officers responded to a call regarding the shooting at approximately 4:30 p.m., initiated by the elderly resident who was present during the altercation.
