Jose Lanzot, a 33-year-old man from Buffalo, New York, was fatally shot on August 5, 2015, on the city's west side. The incident occurred near the intersection of Vermont and 14th Street, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. Lanzot and another individual were struck, with Lanzot succumbing to his injuries shortly thereafter.
