Late on the night of November 24, 2025, police were called to the 700 block of Turtle Creek North Drive on the south side of Indianapolis after neighbors reported gunfire coming from an apartment at the Brookwood complex. Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived just before midnight and found 26-year-old Amanda Sheree Jones inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
