On a gray Friday afternoon in mid-November, 31-year-old Breanna Gonzales, a white woman from Findlay, Ohio, was inside a small home on Queenswood Drive when a call went out to police about what was described as an accidental discharge of a weapon. Officers arrived around 2 p.m. to the northeast-side address and stepped into a scene that would soon shake the city: Breanna lay gravely wounded from a gunshot to the head, the violence of the single shot at odds with the calm, ordinary day outside. ...
