On April 16, 2016, 25-year-old Johaan Yarborough from Buffalo, New York, was tragically killed in a shooting. The incident occurred in the afternoon around 3:15 PM on Thatcher Avenue in Buffalo. Yarborough was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after authorities arrived. His death was part of a wave of gun violence that weekend, which saw multiple shootings across Buffalo.
