On the night of November 1, 2025, a tragic event unfolded on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 59 South in Livingston, Texas, leading to the death of 8-year-old Cesar Ulyses Enriquez of Lufkin. The Livingston Police Department had been alerted by officials in Lufkin to be on the lookout for a vehicle carrying a woman who had expressed suicidal intentions and was accompanied by a young boy.
