In the early evening of a late autumn day, the sounds of gunfire shattered the routine along the 3200 block of Reisterstown Road in Northwest Baltimore. It was October 25, 2025, and as the daylight began to fade, a chaotic scene unfolded. When the shots ceased, 22-year-old Tyree Brooks, a Black male, was left lying in the street, critically wounded. A nearby 7-year-old boy, who was innocently riding in a car with his family, was also struck by the gunfire.
