Death by Force

Leonard Thomas, a 48-year-old Black male, was shot in the pre-dawn hours of Monday, October 27, 2025, after an argument at Hawkins Park in Groesbeck, Texas. Officers were dispatched just after 4 a.m. to the area near the 100 block of South Waco Street and the 400 block of West State Street, where they found Thomas suffering from gunshot wounds inside the park. He was rushed to Limestone Medical Center, where Precinct One Justice of the Peace Marcus Hanna later pronounced him dead.
