On the evening of October 6, 2025, law enforcement officers descended upon a residence on County Road 408 near Bertrand, Missouri. Among them was Henry Franklin, a 41-year-old male officer with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, who had responded to a request for mutual aid from the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office.
