On a Sunday morning in Silver Spring, Maryland, the life of 47-year-old Monique Charles was tragically cut short. A resident of Brooklyn, New York, she was visiting the 1700 block of Imperial Drive on October 12, 2025, when she was fatally shot multiple times. The incident unfolded as she was leaving the location. Emergency services responded to reports of gunfire and found Ms. Charles outside, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
