In the early hours of Sunday, October 19, 2025, Jacyrus Lee Hudson was shot outside Club Gossip in Clewiston’s Harlem neighborhood, near 1825 13th Street. Deputies responding to reports of gunfire found a chaotic scene, with people running and cars speeding away from the nightclub area. Hudson was transported for medical care but did not survive.
Investigators determined a fight began in the club’s parking lot and spilled into the street, where shots were fired. As detectives cordoned off the block and began interviewing witnesses, additional calls reported a gunshot victim being taken to a medical facility, consistent with the rush to get Hudson help. Authorities publicly identified him by name and age in subsequent reports.
By midweek, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect remained on the run. No arrests had been announced, and officials did not release a suspect description, urging anyone with information to come forward. Local coverage continued to emphasize the active nature of the investigation and the absence of a named suspect.
