Michael Rogers, 42, a Black male, was found dead inside Frank Holten State Park in East St. Louis on the morning of October 23, 2025, after police were called to the area near North Park Drive. The St. Clair County Coroner identified him and confirmed he died from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the day before his body was publicly reported found.
