On July 1, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, 53-year-old man Jaime Alejandro Rokkett was shot inside his cookie and smoothie shop at The Shops at RedBird and died at the scene; his race/ethnicity has not been publicly specified. Police and fire crews were called to the 3600 block of West Camp Wisdom Road in the midafternoon, where responders found the business owner unresponsive behind the counter.
