Bodhi Allen Linman, a 26-year-old white male from Round Rock, was shot in the parking lot of Robin Bledsoe Park in Leander around 7:15 p.m. on July 29, 2025. Officers arrived to find the 26-year-old man with gunshot wounds and administered life-saving measures before EMS transported him to St. David's Round Rock Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident was described by police as an altercation between two groups that erupted into multiple gunshots, marking Leander's first homicide of the year.
Detectives quickly began interviewing witnesses and canvassing for surveillance footage as the gunman fled in a vehicle. By July 30, investigators had secured a warrant for capital murder and identified the suspect as Shaunathan Gabriel Raby, an 18-year-old from Cedar Park. The next day, members of the U.S. Marshals–led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Raby in Austin. He was booked on a charge of capital murder by terror threat in connection with the killing of the 26-year-old victim at Bledsoe Park.
Police and subsequent reporting later outlined how a $100 marijuana sale arranged over messages devolved into violence. According to investigators, Raby met the 26-year-old seller and a friend in the park's lot and appeared to complete the purchase using a phone app, then grabbed the marijuana and tried to drive off. The 26-year-old man attempted to stop the theft by getting into Raby's car; Raby allegedly fired through the windshield, mortally wounding him, and sped away. Surveillance video and damage on the suspect vehicle—linked to an earlier hit-and-run—helped identify Raby, who was taken into custody and held at the Williamson County Jail on $1 million bail while the investigation continued.
Authorities publicly identified the victim as Bodhi Allen Linman, age 26, and confirmed his gender and residence while appealing for additional tips, cell-phone video, and doorbell footage from anyone who was near the park that evening. Regional agencies, including Cedar Park Police, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, Austin Police, Central Texas Regional SWAT, and the U.S. Marshals, assisted Leander Police in the case as detectives worked to compile witness accounts and digital evidence related to the shooting.
