Mechel Maddox, 58, a White / Caucasian woman from Wichita Falls, was found dead on Sunday, August 10, 2025, after police were dispatched for a welfare check to a rural property in the 5300 block of Riley Road in north Wichita Falls. When officers arrived around 3:40 p.m., they discovered Mechel Maddox, 58, inside a residence on the property and a man, Jeffrey Kent Price, 55, in the front yard.
