Joseph Hernandez Trice, a 42-year-old male and Black/African American resident of Port Arthur, Texas, was found fatally shot inside a home in the 3000 block of 9th Street in the early morning hours of September 21, 2025. Police were dispatched around 2:15–2:20 a.m., and Joseph Hernandez Trice, 42, was discovered inside the residence; a justice of the peace later publicly confirmed his identity and ordered an autopsy.
