On September 27, 2025, in southern Dallas, 31-year-old Raushaun Kirkland was shot and later died at a hospital; he was male and Black/African American. Dallas police were dispatched around 1:00 a.m. on a shooting call in the 2800 block of Twyman Avenue and traced the attack to the 2700 block of Lenway Street, where Dallas Fire-Rescue found Raushaun Kirkland, 31, gravely wounded and transported him for emergency care.
