In the pre-dawn hours of August 7, 2025, Marvin McMillan, age 66 and male, was shot at his home off Circle Heights Drive in the Green Sea area of unincorporated Horry County, near Loris. Horry County Police said two people were wounded around 2:30 a.m.; one victim was found at the scene and taken by ambulance, while the other arrived at a hospital in a private vehicle.
