A man is found dead in a wooded area off of Route 106 in Loudon, NH
On Halloween day in 1971, the body of 28-year-old Daniel O'Connell, a male from Lowell, Massachusetts, was discovered in a wooded area off Route 106 in Loudon, New Hampshire. The discovery launched a homicide investigation that has since spanned decades, remaining one of the state's notable unsolved cases. An autopsy revealed the violent nature of his death; O'Connell had sustained shotgun wounds and also suffered from blunt force injuries to his head and face, which were contributing factors in ...
