In Enid, Oklahoma, a beloved 72-year-old public safety officer, JW Bode, a White/Caucasian male, lost his life in a heroic act of duty on a late Sunday night in August. The tragic events began to unfold around 11 p.m. on August 17, 2025, when Enid police responded to a domestic disturbance call. The suspect in the disturbance had fled the initial scene, and his vehicle was soon located at the Integris Health Enid Hospital.
