William C. Tong, 53, a white male, was shot on July 6, 2025, during a dispute between neighbors on Parker Road in the town of Campbell, Steuben County. Troopers from the New York State Police barracks in Painted Post responded to the scene, and Tong was taken to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania, where he died during surgery on July 7, 2025.
