Didarul Islam, a 36-year-old male of Bangladeshi descent, was tragically killed in a mass shooting on July 28, 2025, in a Midtown Manhattan office building. An immigrant from Bangladesh, Islam was an officer with the New York Police Department, assigned to the 47th Precinct in the Bronx. On the evening of his death, he was working off-duty in uniform as a security guard at 345 Park Avenue.
