In the quiet expanse near Cerrillos, New Mexico, the life of Patrick Wheeler, a 48-year-old White/Caucasian male, was abruptly ended on the night of August 9, 2025. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire along New Mexico Highway 14, in the vicinity of Madrid. Upon their arrival, they discovered Wheeler suffering from a gunshot wound.
