On June 14, 2025, in the quiet hills around Ava, Missouri, William Ruble, 59, male, was shot and killed in his home alongside his wife, Tina Ruble, 58. Investigators with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office determined the violence was carried out by the couple’s 35-year-old son, Cody Ruble, who then turned the gun on himself.
