In the quiet, rural area of Shannon, Mississippi, a grim discovery shattered the peace of a late spring day. On Friday, May 23, 2025, the body of 39-year-old Cambre Dean, a female resident of the area, was found alongside that of 43-year-old Frank West. The two were discovered at a mobile home located on County Road 295, just outside the city limits. Both had been fatally shot.
Responding to a report of a disturbance, deputies from the Lee County Sheriff's Department arrived at the property and found the bullet-riddled bodies of Dean and West. During their investigation at the scene, law enforcement encountered a local resident, 39-year-old Jonathan Kelly, who was on the grounds. After interviewing Kelly and gathering physical evidence, authorities arrested him in connection with the double homicide.
