In the heat of a Las Vegas summer evening on July 14, 2025, the life of 16-year-old Mikel Hill was tragically cut short. The young man, a Black / African American male, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of North Tenaya Way, near Lake Mead Boulevard. First responders rushed to the scene, and he was transported to University Medical Center in a desperate attempt to save him. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
