Keion Johnson, 26, a Black man from Baton Rouge, was found shot to death on the evening of July 21, 2025. Officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department responded just after 7:27 p.m. to the 200 block of North 13th Street, a corridor that runs between Convention Street and Florida Street downtown, where they discovered Keion Johnson, 26, fatally wounded. The killing was recorded the same day by regional gun-violence trackers that listed the location as Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
