Gerson Rivas Diaz, 24, a Hispanic/Latino man, was killed late on May 18, 2025, on Chicago’s Northwest Side after a fight turned deadly on the 4500 block of North Kennicott Avenue. Around 10:13–10:15 p.m., amid a confrontation with another person, he was shot in the back. First responders rushed the 24-year-old to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that night.
