In the summer of 2025, a burst of violence on a Baltimore street cut short the life of William Grant, a 33-year-old man. On the afternoon of July 19th, police responded to a report of a shooting on the 2800 block of Kennedy Avenue. There they found Grant suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he died later that same day.
The investigation into the shooting moved quickly.
Just two days after Grant's death, on July 21st, detectives apprehended a suspect. Forty-six-year-old Jasmine White was taken into custody on the 1700 block of Carswell Street. Following her arrest, White was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
Authorities subsequently charged Jasmine White with first and second-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of William Grant. The swift arrest brought a suspect before the justice system, marking the next chapter in the tragic story of a life lost to gunfire on a Baltimore street.
