Hodges, a 33-year-old man from Chicago spent the late morning of May 30, 2025 standing outside on the first block of South Springfield Avenue in West Garfield Park when a black sedan slowed near the curb. Shots tore through the quiet, turning conversation into chaos as the car rolled past and sped away westbound.
