Lorie C. Frame, 63, female, was discovered alongside her husband, Dr. William A. “Bill” Frame, in their Forsyth, Illinois home after loved ones requested a welfare check on the morning of June 2, 2025. Deputies arrived around 9:50 a.m. to the 900 block of Malinda Court and found the couple deceased, prompting an immediate investigation by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner. Early reports identified the pair and confirmed they were married and lived at the residence. A firearm was recovered at the scene as investigators worked to reconstruct what had happened.
Autopsies were performed on June 4 in Bloomington, and the coroner reported that each died from a single gunshot wound. In the days that followed, authorities emphasized that the inquiry remained active while digital devices were examined and interviews were conducted. The case drew close attention locally as officials balanced the straightforward medical cause of death with the more complicated task of determining manner and sequence.
As the investigation progressed over the summer, the Sheriff’s Office and coroner ultimately concluded that the deaths were a murder-suicide. Detectives reported that evidence—including forensic findings and analysis of cellular devices—indicated that William Frame shot Lorie before taking his own life with the same gun. The bodies had been found in a bathroom off the main bedroom, consistent with the final reconstruction. With those findings, officials formally closed the case. There were no arrests, and no other suspects were sought.
