A woman is found dead in the Truckee River
Sandra Whitlock, a 29-year-old woman, was tragically found dead on February 23, 1985, in the Truckee River near Painted Rock, just east of Reno, Nevada. She had been missing for over a month, with her last known sighting on January 16, 1985. Reports suggest that she had been seen in downtown Reno shortly before her disappearance. It was her boyfriend who last saw her that day, and they had plans to meet up after a visit to a casino, but she never arrived.
