Danny Beck, 79, male, was a retired Baker Police Department captain whose life had been defined by public service and family. Born in Alexandria and later making his home in East Baton Rouge Parish, he spent more than three decades in law enforcement before retiring in 2009. Friends and former colleagues remembered him as steady, compassionate, and deeply woven into the community he served.
