Hispanic/Latina. On the afternoon of June 21, 2025, Edna Victoria Duran Arevalo, age 50, female, was found mortally wounded outside her home on the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunnydale neighborhood. Officers responding around 3:45 p.m. rendered first aid, but Edna Victoria Duran Arevalo, age 50, female, died at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. A firearm was recovered, and witnesses told authorities they saw the shooting occur at close range.
