Eric James Anthony Walker, 34, a male and Black/African American, was found mortally wounded just after 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025, near Mahogany Street and North Avenue in North Sacramento. According to police and coroner timelines, the shooting itself occurred around 3:12 a.m.; officers arrived within a half hour and began life-saving measures, but by 4:03 a.m. fire personnel pronounced Eric James Anthony Walker, 34, dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.
