John Jackson, 58, a male from Gray, Georgia, died on the morning of July 6, 2025, after a fire and gunshot rang through Stan’s Body Shop on Gray Highway. Deputies and firefighters were called around 8:30 a.m. to a structure fire; inside the shop, multiple vehicles had been doused with diesel and set alight. Amid the smoke and ruin, investigators later found John Jackson, 58, male, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the office area of the business.
